PRIVATE COACHING

In person (in Los Angeles) or via FaceTime from anywhere!

ABOUT

My goal is to bring my knowledge and experience to young performers looking to gain performance skills, develop techniques, and find the fun and joy in auditioning. I earned a BA in Theatre from USC, where I worked with some of the finest professors in the country. I have been doing private audition and performance coaching for the last 10 years. I started performing at age 5 and am currently auditioning and performing in professional theatre and tv industry, which allows me to use my past and current experiences as teaching tools. The personal pride and confidence that comes from this work will manifest far beyond the world of performing!

With each student the goal is different. Here are some things we can work on:

-TELLING A STORY THROUGH A SONG

-AUDITIONING forTheatre, Film, and TV.

-COACHING on a role you have been cast in for Theatre, TV, or Film.

-Tools to build CONFIDENCE and OVERCOME AUDITION FEARS.

-PRIVATE TAP CLASS

and more...

"The astonishing transformation that my daughter has experienced, while training with Sydney, has led to a deepening of confidence that spreads throughout her daily life. At her auditions and at each performance, she is more present in the experience, fully embracing the songs she sing and embodying the movements and gestures. Along with her skill level, her pleasure and self-confidence continues to rise enormously.

Sydney Blair is amazing!!!!

*StageSceneLA REVIEW of USCs Urinetown

"Some of the best choreography youre likely to see this or any year! Quite possibly the biggest star of the evening is Blairs sensational choreography, easily as exciting as any Ive seen in professional productions. Theres more dancing in Urinetown than in any musical this side of 42nd Street, and more stylistic variety than in any single show I can think oftributes to Fosse, Michael Bennett, Jerome Robbins, just to name a few, executed in energetic precision by these terrifically talented USC Trojans. No longer can a musical theater performer be just a singer or just a dancer, and these triple-threats prove just how much talent is out there."
